Multiplayer Games...
Hey, I'm out doing shopping for the other 2/3rd of my family with relitives, so I cant do my regular activites... computer wise, but I would like to know some info on these games and there multiplayer compatabilty...
Half Life 2; Does this one allow Multiplayer(home based LAN servers)?
Counter Strike: Source; Does this one allow Mulitplayer(home based LAN servers)?(I know regular counter strike does)
I know these are run with STEAM, that wont be a problem...
Does my avatar normally have grey in there? I swore when i left it was transparent...

if your talking about hl2 itself then no it's only a single player, but hl2:death match thats multiplayer and a server can be joined by people on a lan, same thing goes for source if i remember correctly just one computer has to "create a new game" and other members of the lan can see and join it

Also note - HL2: DM is very demanding on a server (especially if lots of people are using the gravity gun), so it's best played on a dedicated server.

Dont worry; its all going to be on a high powered laptop, personlly I think laptops are thee best solutions for LAN/WAN servers... takes up less room, built-in monitor, no cords from keyboard or a mouse, they do get "hot" but I got a solution to that, I know I cant use SATA RAID 0 for this but eh...
I belive its well worth the money, if you goto LAN parties, or events host by your college ect ect...

Gravity Gun=Pure Sexy Chaos.
Another pure violent game you could look into is Unreal Tournament.
